Yup. I got it. I have it set so I'm emailed comments. (Now I just need to talk my male into figuring out how to set it up so I can respond directly *to* comments and they get a email notification... that's the one thing I really dislike about blogs vs. LJ.)

At this point, I think my fibromyalgia is probably tied to hormones of some sort, because my pain gets worse as my hormones fluctuate around my period. I'm going to see an endocrinogist in a couple weeks to hopefully find out what's wrong. I'm also going to ask about thyroid, because while it tested out normal, I believe it tested out as low normal... and, well, my family history seems to indicate that "low normal" really equates to "low and in need of treatment."

I've thought about a chiropractor, but my insurance unfortunately doesn't cover it. I believe there's one near us that isn't too expensive, so the fiance and I are going to look into that. (More for him right now than me, as he has several fibro symptoms himself and can't sit at the computer for very long at all -- which means he really can't write. :( )

Thanks. :)

I'm not sure if you'll get this post, since this was said a while back. I hope you do though. My sister suffers from fibromyalgia. It had her stuck in a wheel chair for a few years and she couldn't even sleep lying down anymore because she shook so bad.
I share this because I know she'd kick my butt if I didn't. *S* She was on all kinds of meds and suffered from every infection in the book because of it and some of them she wasn't even supposed to take. However, she finally decided after leaving mom's house and getting married she needed a different approach. She began at a chiropractors (SP) office with several weekly visits. It hurt horribly the first year and she almost quit. But, after a while it stopped hurting as badly and things improved tremendously. I say she's a different woman now. She moves, she's able to be with her son and get down on the floor to play with him, she walks for exercise and just recently they bought a glider runner type machine. LOL can't remember the name.
Anyway, you've probably researched until you are blue in the face, however, she learned a lot about herself and her needs and realized the meds the docs gave her only covered up the problem. She was the only one that could cure it.
